INTER-SEASONAL DRESSING - STYLES THAT WILL TAKE YOU FROM SUMMER TO WINTER THIS PREGNANCY
Pregnancy is only nine months so many people want to be conservative with their purchases, but this can be a little tricky when your pregnancy spans across one of the mid-seasons. At the moment in the Southern Hemisphere we have our #SoonMums buying for the cold weather but planning for the warm weather and vice-versa for the Northern Hemisphere. For this reason, we always make sure to include transeasonal pieces in our collection that you will be able to buy in one season and wear into the next. See some great examples below for styles that work perfectly for inter-seasonal dressing:
Maternity Denim is one of the things that is worth investing in for both a Winter and a Summer pregnancy. A style such as our Mila Slim Boyfriend Denim that can be rolled up for a cropped look during the Summer is a perfect example of how you can make maternity jeans work for both seasons. Style them with boots and a warm jumper for winter and then slowly remove the layers as the weather warms up or vice versa!
White denim is another jeans style that won't feel too hot and stuffy in the warmer months but can just as easily be styled for Winter. Our Base Crop Maternity Denim always go gang-busters in summer because they feel so fresh and stylish with a simple t-shirt or blouse but you should still keep them in rotation as the weather cools down, throw on an stylish coat like Josie has above and add a scarf and tan boots if it's extra chilly.
Our Alice Denim Maternity Overalls are a relatively new style that we introduced this Winter and so they are yet to see an Australian Summer, but that hasn't stopped some lovely bloggers in warmer climates show us how to style them for Spring / Summer. As you can see above, these overalls look so great with a cute little top and we would suggests simply rolling the hem and styling with sandals. But it's also easy to add layers beneath overalls. For Autumn and Spring, it's as simple as a long sleeve top, but as you get into the depths of Winter add a jumper and some hidden thermals.
Our Frost Wool Vest is a Winter layering style that is definitely an investment piece. We always compliment this style for its ability to be worn post-pregnancy but as you can see above, it also looks great out of season when styled for the warmer months. Throw this vest over a summer outfit to make it a true transeasonal look for Autumn of Spring.
