What do you love about being pregnant?

That there is a miracle growing within my belly and that I am beyond blessed to be the mom of my child.

What foods are you craving?

During my first trimester, I was lucky enough only to have low grade-nausea. I was glued to the couch and couldn't cook meat for 2 weeks, during which I could only stomach carbs- the junk variety :) I lived off sweet and fried foods. Luckily, the symptoms disappeared after a fortnight and I've been able to eat a much healthier diet since.

Although right now, I'm craving chocolate cake :)

What will you miss about being pregnant?

Never being alone and always having my little girl with me :) She is a very active baby so she's constantly reminding me what an excellent travel companion she is. I've been blessed to have had another smooth pregnancy. The attention I've been getting has been quite overwhelming. People keep making remarks such as "You're so tiny! " "You have such a cute bump!" "Pregnancy really suits you!" I don't receive this kind of reception when I'm not pregnant :):)

Oh, and not being able to bend over and tie my shoelaces...just joking :)

The thing I most look forward to about becoming a mum is…

I'm already a mom with a 2.5 year old boy. I never imagine how motherhood could change me. I used to be quite judgemental, superficial, selfish and proud, but motherhood has completely changed me. I used to dread motherhood thinking that I'd lose myself, my identify, worth and figure, but surprisingly, motherhood has paid dividends.

I'm excited to become the mum of a daughter, it is going to be both a challenge and a delight. I'll need a completely new set of skills to bring up a girl in this day and age, but I'm sure that it will be a very tender bond between us.

What can you not live without this pregnancy?

Vegetables and vitamins:) My mum created a vegetable garden just before my daughter was conceived (perfect timing mom!) for us so we've had the privilege of enjoying organic, home-grown, leafy veggies every day. I didn't take vitamins during my last pregnancy because I foolishly thought that I didn't need them. This second pregnancy (e.g. my figure and immunity) has been even better probably because of the healthier diet. My knitted dresses, baking and of course, my dear husband :)

Your favourite Maternity style?

Being comfortable is my first priority as I have a 2 year old to chase around. I have found that in both of my pregnancies, I gravitate toward form-fitting dresses, mainly because they're so flattering and because my jeans always refuse me access earlier on:) In winter, I live in knit dresses with tights and white sneakers. If I have something fancy to attend, I either throw on a beautiful coat or a long sleeveless jacket and always a pair of pumps as they create elongating and flattering silhouettes.
