What do you love about being pregnant?
Pretty much everything... It's been such a pleasure to see what my body can do. Even during the harder times, I was still awestruck by the pregnancy phenomenon. I love that my bump is a constant reminder that I'm going to be a mommy soon. But probably the best thing about pregnancy is the bond you're creating with this human being even before you've met them. It's really quite humbling... all of it.
What foods are you craving?
In my first trimester, it was romaine lettuce salads, 2-3 times a day and the rest was junk like pizza, pickles, olives, and ice pops. Now I crave a lot of cakey things, like donuts, brownies, cupcakes... I've always had a sweet tooth though... so no surprise there.
What will you miss about being pregnant?
There's just something about pregnancy that makes you feel like a goddess, almost like you hold the world's existence in your hands, so to speak. You feel and sense it as you travel around; people smile at you, and tell you congratulations, stand up for you. You become almost royal during this time. But the way people treat you aside, pregnancy gives you purpose and confidence and ascension in such a beautiful transcendental way. I will definitely miss all of the above.
The thing I most look forward to about becoming a mum is…
Being a mom! LOL. And everything it entails. Down to diaper changing... Is that crazy that I actually look forward to diaper changing??
What can you not live without this pregnancy?
Definitely, a comfortable pair of maternity denim, comfy dresses, my converse, and it's not been very warm out, but I have a feeling that my Birkenstocks will be coming in handy soon.
Your favourite Maternity style?
Loving the Blaze Denim Jeans - they are comfortable and perfect for the modern mom. And loving the blue and navy striped t-shirt dress- love how it hugs my bump and body, but it doesn't feel lewd or suggestive.
What are your favourite beauty products during your pregnancy?
A good foundation that soaks right in and doesn't sit on your skin, lippies of all colors, a good eyebrow pencil/powder to keep my eyebrows looking dramatic, and my Nars Multiple Stick for a nice flush to my cheeks.
Words of advice:
Do your best to freeze time. If you have this super power use it! I don't think there is a better time in a woman's life than the anticipation of being a mother and having her baby in her arms. But realistically speaking, if there are any REAL ways you are able to slow down time a little to give you a chance to really enjoy these fleeting moments then whatever they are do them! I am nearing the end of my pregnancy and although I want nothing more to meet my Little Bean, there is a bit of a sadness there--the type you feel when you are nearing the end of a good book and can't stop reading but don't want it to end.
