I’m Lauren Samuels, a Melbourne based blogger and mamma to be. My blog ‘Enjoy the small things’ is exactly as the name suggests, it’s an attempt to see life from a different angle -

What do you love about being pregnant?

This time around I’m trying to love and enjoy all that comes along with pregnant life. Kicks to the ribs, swollen ankles and seeing this cheeky monkey’s face in scans. After losing my first child to stillbirth at 37 weeks my perspective of pregnancy and birth are all about celebrating every little milestone I reach with my bub.

What foods are you craving?

Chocolate milk, I can’t get enough. I must admit I have sent my hubby out to get me a chocolate malt milkshake from the Pancake Parlor a time or two.

What will you miss about being pregnant?

The ‘glow’, my hair goes thick and shiny while pregnant and is definitely an added bonus. I hope that sticks around after baby arrives (wishful thinking J)

The thing I most look forward to about becoming a mum:

Snuggles with my bub and pinching its chubby cheeks. My husband and I have had gone through a lot to finally hold our baby in our arms and we will just be grateful to have a healthy child to love and adore.

What can you not live without this pregnancy (Soon Maternity Styles)?

The Soon Maternity Black Skyler Jacket has been the one piece of clothing that has saved my life this pregnancy. It’s perfect for work but I can also wear it with jeans and heals out for dinner. I love the cut as its flattering but also shows off my bump.

Your favourite Soon Maternity style?

My favourite look has been the Soon Maternity Leo Cap Sleeve Dress, this dress has been an incredibly versatile outfit that has suited me at all stages of pregnancy. I have worn it to Christmas parties, weddings and many other occasions. I love that I can dress it up with a pair of heels or keep simple with some black flats and a cardi. This was a well worthwhile purchase for my maternity wardrobe that has been worn to death.

Favourite beauty products during your pregnancy:

I feel very lucky that for both of my pregnancies my skin has stayed relative clear and my favourite organic products by Sueanne Wells and Go To Skin care have helped me maintain a healthy glow throughout my pregnancy.

Words of advice:

Enjoy the small things!
